Nanny.nu started 2007

As many parents have problems putting together their life puzzle, our business concept is to offer world-class childcare.

Most of our families need help with pick-up at preschool or after-school, but of course there are as many needs as there are families.

We really hope you feel valuable to us, because you are. How well you perform your work is absolutely critical for whether our customers are satisfied. This, in turn, is important for the entire company's development and future.

Part 2 - Why Nanny.nu?

We are glad that you chose us as an employer. We believe that you turned to a company for several reasons, for example to be able to get support in your work.

Some other good reasons to work with us are:

Collective agreement - All our staff are covered by collective agreements. In short, this means that we have special requirements to offer extra good working conditions (salary, pension, insurance, etc.) for our employees.

Courses - We offer courses, including in CPR and safety. We want you to feel safe when you work.

Insurances - You are covered by accident insurance for, from and during work. We also have liability insurance, which covers if damage should be claimed to the family's property.

Part 2 - Why Nanny.nu?

Black jobs - what is it?

Black work means that, for example, a babysitter is paid by the family directly or via Swish. This means that the employer, or in that case, the family, does not pay taxes or employer contributions for your work. It is a violation of the law. If you work illegally, you do not receive a pension for the work, you are not covered by insurance and you have no one to help you if there is a problem at work. You may also be obliged to pay back unpaid tax to the Swedish Tax Agency. When you work as a babysitter for Nanny.nu, it happens in a legal and decent way for you as a babysitter.

Update your profile

If there are any changes in your life situation (e.g. schedule changes, moving, etc.) we would like you to let us know about this as soon as you can so that we can update your profile, this mainly applies if you are waiting to be presented for a new family.

Combine missions

Remember that it is possible to combine assignments with different families if you want to work more, as long as your schedule allows it of course.

When you work with a family through us, we will continuously check how things are going for you in your job. You can also always contact us if you have questions about your employment, your family or if you need advice and support. Part 3 - Job Description

We have four pillars that we want all babysitters to work with. For some, they may be seen as self-evident when it comes to babysitting, but we still want to highlight that they are important to us. These are:

Part 3 - Job Description

Order

Keep what you promise - In all relationships, trust is important. In the role of babysitter, trust is absolutely crucial. Trust is built over time. Both the family and we at the office want to be able to trust you when you say something. Therefore, do not promise more than you will be able to keep.

Appropriate times - Arriving on time for work may seem obvious, but it is something we really want to emphasize the importance of. By being on time, you show respect for other people's time. The parents adapt their times and their work to you as a babysitter and expect you to be available at the times you have decided.

Clothing - When you are going to work with children, it is important that you dress for the purpose. Whole, clean and comfortable clothes are the basis. Dress so that you are comfortable to play, but also remember that you are going to a job. Consider the weather and be prepared for outdoor activities. Warm shoes and a warm jacket are highly recommended if it's cold outside. Use reflectors if you are out when it is dark outside and avoid strong perfumes as the people you work with may be sensitive to strong scents.

Keep order - Remember that the home should look like it did when you arrived. When you play with toys, don't forget to clean up after yourself when you're done! If you cook, washing up after the meal is included As a babysitter, you are expected to take care of the children. Formally, it is okay to help with cleaning and washing if the family wants it, but it is not a requirement from Nanny.nu's side.

Part 3 - Job Description

Security

Alcohol and drugs - Alcohol- and drug-free work is an absolute requirement at Nanny.nu. This requirement covers all employees at the company. You as an employee may be asked to complete a drug test if there is a reasonable suspicion. We also have a policy that you are absolutely not allowed to smoke during your session.

Background checks - At Nanny.nu, we carry out several background checks on all our babysitters. * Reference taking * ID check * Googling * Police records check All these checks are carried out in connection with the start of work.

Course in CPR and child accidents - All employed babysitters at Nanny.nu must be approved performers of CPR. Therefore, you will be able to take part in a course. We go through what risks exist in the home, how you reason so that accidents do not occur and other important information. This is important for the safety of the family, but of course also for the sake of your work environment.

Car driving - If you have agreed with the family to drive with the children, it is important that a car seat/baby seat/car cushion is used if the children are of that age, and of course seat belts for everyone in the car.< /p>

Heavy lifting - It may happen that you need to lift or carry a child, always remember to lift with your legs and not with your back and remember to keep the child close to you.

Important phone numbers - The most important number to know is of course 112 - the number for SOS Alarm that you call in an emergency. In an emergency, call in the following order: 1. SOS Alarm - 112 2. The child's parents 3. Nanny.nu - 010-160 02 00 It is important that we know what happened so that we can help you further. Nanny.nu has office hours 09.00-17.00. If an emergency occurs outside office hours, call our emergency number on the same telephone number, 010-160 02 00. It is staffed 24 hours a day. Only call us outside office hours in a situation where you needed to contact the emergency services.

Part 3 - Job Description

Communication

Call back - For your and our work to work as well as possible, communication is essential. For both us at Nanny.nu and for the family, it is important that you are reachable, that is, that we can get in touch with you. If you cannot answer when we call, please send a text or call us as soon as you can.

Feedback - If you work with a family where you pick up children from preschool or school, it is important that you have a good dialogue with the staff who work there. Introduce yourself, so they know who you are, and feel free to ask for the phone number so you have it if, for example, public transport is disrupted. Pay attention to whether the staff say something you should pass on to the parents. A tip is to bring a picture of yourself where you have written your name and phone number so the staff remembers who you are and can easily reach you if necessary. Substitutes often work at preschools and schools, so it can be difficult to keep track of everyone who comes and goes.

Oral and written communication - Remember that when writing a text message, the person cannot read your face or your body language. Therefore, please read the message once to see that there is not much room for misunderstanding. Do not take major discussions in writing. It is better to have face-to-face conversations.

Your internet profile - Remember that what you publish publicly online can be seen by both us at Nanny.nu and the family. We at Nanny.nu do not value what you say about yourself online, as long as it is not, for example, illegal, racist or child-abusing posts. Many of our families Google their babysitters. We recommend all our babysitters to review social media such as Instagram and Facebook, as well as think about how to answer the phone, what type of answering machine you have and how your email address is worded.

Part 3 - Job Description

Creativity

Plan the day - Remember to plan in advance what your sessions will look like. The better you connect with the family, the better you will know what the children like to do. However, it is good to have a few tricks up your sleeve as the children's mood and energy level can vary greatly from day to day. Everyone benefits from you and the children having fun while you work. If you look after several children at the same time, think about doing activities where everyone can participate.

Be active - Many families appreciate learning play. This means, for example, playing memory so the children can practice their memory. Other examples of good activities are reading books together, drawing or doing crafts. We at Nanny.nu want our babysitters to be active. Therefore, we do not want you and the children to watch TV or movies. You have quality time together! However, it is of course okay with screen time if the parents have said so.

Outdoor play - Many children love to be outside. Therefore, think carefully about being dressed for the weather and that many families expect you to be outdoors for at least part of the session. If the family lives in a villa, it may be enough to go out in the garden and play, while more planning may be required if the family lives in an apartment in a densely built-up area. Feel free to ask the parents.

Part 4 - Expectations

We at Nanny.nu and the family you work for have certain expectations of you. Of course, you also have expectations of your job and of us at Nanny.nu. Families generally have common expectations of babysitters.

Be able to distinguish between personal and private

Remember that the family is your customer and not your friend. We would like you to have a personal contact and be able to talk about most things, but it is important not to transfer personal problems onto the family. You work for Nanny.nu and are our face, so remember to be professional.

Be responsive

The family wants a happy, flexible and easy-going babysitter who stands up and listens to the family's needs. For us, personal commitment is important. This means that we want to help each other in a personal way. If the parents ever need help at short notice, or if they are late as a result of a delay, it is very much appreciated if you can pitch in (subject to time, of course).

Be reliable

The family wants a babysitter who keeps agreements, arrives on time and doesn't cancel at the last second. Have foresight!

Take responsibility

The family wants someone who can handle situations and take good care of the children when the parents are not there.

Have fun!

The family wants the children to have a positive and fun time together with the babysitter. See your time with the children as quality time and that you are really their support in having a fun babysitting session.

Part 5 - Other

Follow family routines

To get off to a good start with the family, it is important that you sit down with the parents and talk about what routines and approaches apply, because it is easier to handle the children if you do it in the way the children are used to. It will increase the parents' trust in you. It is also important to know what limits apply and how the children are used to being reprimanded. We often hear from families that they want a babysitter who is not afraid to speak up. It is important that you know how to tackle the situations that arise in a way that feels okay with the parents.

Tutorial

We at Nanny.nu will continuously follow up with you to know how your work is going. We are your sounding board, so contact us if you have questions or need advice on your childcare. Often other babysitters have had similar problems and then we can come up with advice and tips on how you can solve different situations. If you tell us something and don't want us to discuss it with the family, of course we won't.

Keep in touch with family

Communication with the family is crucial to how your collaboration will work. Therefore, get into the habit of talking to the parents about what future sessions should look like - which days and times they need help. Let us know in good time if you are prevented from working, for example if you know you will be traveling away or have a doctor's appointment booked, so maybe you can check other times for the appointment together. If you become ill, it is important that you notify the family quickly and keep them updated. If you haven't worked for the family for a long time, it can still be good to send an SMS and check how things look going forward. It shows interest and is appreciated by the family.

Time reporting

Your duties include reporting your passports to us every month. All hours you worked during a calendar month must be reported no later than the first day of the following month. For example, if you worked in April, you must report this to us no later than May 1 at 23.59. It is important that you keep this so that we can send out an invoice to the customer and pay you a salary on time.

Bonus system

We have a bonus system at Nanny.nu which means that you can earn extra money if you refer friends who then start working for a family through us. When your friend starts working, you get SEK 500 as thanks for the help, while you helped a friend get a job. We always need new, committed babysitters!

Part 6 - End

If the situation changes

Sooner or later your family may have a changed situation that means they no longer need help, for example if they move. In such a situation, we want you to know that we can most likely find you a new family if you want it. Contact us so we can update your profile with new information, and we'll start a search.

Notify us first

As much as we would like you to stay forever, we understand that one day you will leave us for new challenges. Let us know before you tell the family if you want to quit and we will put together a plan for how the termination can best be carried out.
