Background check
Full criminal record extract from the Swedish Police Authority. This is a requirement, not an extra. You'll never meet a candidate who hasn't passed.
Structured interview
In-depth interview covering childcare experience, safety awareness, and situational judgement. We get to know the person behind the application before you do.
CPR and first aid
All candidates complete paediatric CPR and first aid certification through an accredited provider. Your nanny knows how to act if something happens.
Reference verification
We contact previous employers and families to verify experience and reliability. You'll meet a candidate who's already proven themselves.
Ongoing quality monitoring

Understanding Swedish background checks
If you're new to Sweden, you may not be familiar with the belastningsregistret. It's a criminal background check through the Swedish Police Authority (Polismyndigheten). Every person working with children in Sweden is expected to provide one, and we require it of every candidate, without exception.
The extract covers all criminal convictions recorded in Sweden. We verify the original document before any candidate is presented to a family. This is a legal standard for childcare work, not an optional extra we charge for.
Beyond the police check, every nanny completes paediatric CPR and first aid certification through an accredited provider. Combined with structured interviews and reference checks, this means you'll only meet candidates who've cleared every step.
