How we partner with municipalities

Municipalities across Sweden need reliable childcare providers for families receiving support - respite service under LSS, support family supplements, emergency placements, and other social service needs. The challenge is finding providers who combine quality, documentation, and flexibility.

Nanny.nu has worked with municipalities since 2007. We provide individually matched childcare with the administrative structure that municipal procurement requires - vetting documentation, structured reporting, and quality follow-up.

What we deliver

Our municipal services cover three main areas. Respite service (avlösarservice) for families with LSS decisions provides regular relief through a matched babysitter with experience relevant to the child's needs. Support family supplements add professional childcare hours alongside existing support family arrangements. Emergency placements provide vetted candidates at short notice when families need immediate support.

For each service type, the process includes needs assessment, candidate matching with enhanced vetting, employment and insurance handled by Nanny.nu, and structured documentation throughout.

Quality assurance and reporting

Every candidate working in a municipal assignment goes through our six-step vetting process: criminal background check, structured interview, CPR certification, reference verification, identity confirmation, and skills assessment. For assignments involving children with special needs, additional experience verification is conducted.

Reporting is adapted to each municipality's requirements. Standard deliverables include monthly usage summaries, quality indicators, and incident documentation. We participate in follow-up meetings and provide information for case reviews when requested.

Administrative simplicity

The municipality contracts with Nanny.nu as the service provider. We handle all employment aspects - payroll, pension, insurance, tax reporting, and labor law compliance. The municipality receives a single invoice and a single point of contact.

This means less administrative burden for social service departments. No managing individual contractors, no employment risk, no insurance gaps. The families receive professional care, and the municipality receives professional documentation.
